I’m not one who is a tremendous user of hairsprays per se but, every so often I’ll use what I think are the best for me and my type of hair, natural curly. These hairsprays tend to give volume and adequate hold without being stiff and tacky.
My favorite is “L’OREAL Paris Elnett Satin” spray for color-treated hair. Hair stylists have been sneaking this past customs for years into the U.S. until it became legal in the States. It is regarded as “The finest hairspray used by the finest stylists”. It provides an ultra fine mist and disappears at the stroke of a brush leaving hair shiny with a luminous touch. I prefer the extra-long hold with the UV filter. It also comes in an extra long 11 oz can. This can be found at CVS and other fine drugstores.
“Sebastian Shaper Plus Hair Spray” comes in the extra long can and is a styling mist for super hold and extra control. This one is great for humidity and medium to extra holds. This is light and non-tacky. This can be found at fine salons and some convenience stores, CVS, Walgreens.
“Samy Salon Systems Freezstyle” produces 24 hour hold, ultra shine, anti-frizz, and anti-static with a UV filter. This is also non-sticky and fast drying. Samy Salon “Incredible Gloss Spray” is also winsome with super shine and a smoothing finish. It’s non-greasy and leaves a soft lightweight shiny conditioning gloss. The hold is not “stiff” but, if you’re looking for shine, it’s the one (CVS, hsn.com).
