Luminous Complexion for Spring
Now that the weather is warming up and people are going outdoors a bit more it’s time for a boost for your complexion. You want your face to present a radiant luminous ‘glow’ and show off your beautiful smile. One of the many suggestions I make for people wanting that extra kick is skin luminizers. I have certain preferences that are easy to use and easily applied.
Napoleon Perdis "Liquid Veil" is one of my favorites because it can be easily mixed with moisturizer or foundation and applied to the skin. It can also be worn alone because it is a lightweight tint, yet it is highly pigmented with intense color concentration. Liquid Veil contains pomegranate extract which provides for antioxidant properties to protect skin from free radicals and environmental pollution. It comes in a pump dispenser allowing for the perfect amount of dispensation. For a ‘cooler’ effect I like to use the color "Moscow" which is a pink glow. The veil also comes in "London" (silver), "Houston" (gold), and "Buenos Aires" (bronze). (Target stores or npsetcosmetics.com)
For a warmer glow, I like Stila’s "All Over Shimmer" liquid luminizer in #3 gold. This is also a liquid that can be mixed with moisturizer or foundation or applied to cheekbones and eyebrows to highlight areas you want to show off. This has a brush applicator. (sephora.com or stila.com)
There are many varieties of luminizers. These two are the liquid ones I prefer to work with because of their smooth and soft sheen effect. Cream luminizers are preferable too and in the future I’ll highlight some new ones I’ve been working with that are super and have a glamorous look.
