Combination skin is probably the most pronounced skin type. This skin may be oily in the t-zone which is the forehead, nose, and down to the chin, but may be dry in other areas such as the cheekbones. Believie it or not, this skin type requires a little extra attention, especially when applying hair products and moisturizers.
Here are you five must-have items:
Cleansing bars (Clinique)
Pore Strips (Biore or Joey New York blackhead minimizer gel)
Exfoliating Scrub (all brands)
Oil-free moisturizer (Neutrogena)
Eye cream (Arbonne)
These are your ingredients for your facial mask:
1 rose
1 tbsp rosewater
1 tbsp natural yoghurt
1 tbsp honey
First wash your rose petals in some water and soak them for a few minutes. Crush them in a bowl. Add rosewater, yoghurt, and honey and mix well. Apply to the skin approximately 5 minutes and rinse with warm water.
Tip: Don’t treat your whole face the same way. The t-zone requires twice daily cleansing while cheeks may only need once daily cleansing. Don’t use leave in hair conditioners. These may block pores on the forehead and cause skin to be oily. Use rich moistuizers around your eyes, but not your facial area.
These tips come from "The Complete Beauty Book" by Helen Foster.
